Hosting
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, GitHub's servers automatically log standard access data including your IP address, browser type, and the requested URL. This data is processed by GitHub for technical security purposes under their Privacy Statement. We have no access to these server logs.
No Cookies & Tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics software, advertising
networks, or tracking pixels of any kind. Your language preference is detected once using the
browser's built-in navigator.language API — this value is never stored or
transmitted anywhere.
App Data Storage
The BoxLabel app stores all data you create — box names, contents, and item photos — exclusively on your device. Nothing is transmitted to external servers. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it yourself.
Camera Access
The app requests camera permission to scan QR code labels and to add photos of box contents. All scanning and photo capture happens entirely on-device. No images or video frames are uploaded or processed remotely at any point.
Universal Links
Box QR codes encode a URL of the form /box/UUID. Following such a link triggers
a client-side JavaScript redirect that opens the corresponding box in the BoxLabel app. No
personal data is recorded server-side when this link is followed. The UUID is used solely as
an identifier within the deep link.
Feedback & Bug Reports
The BoxLabel app includes optional in-app forms for sending feedback and reporting bugs. Submissions are processed by Formspark (Formspark OÜ, Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, Tallinn 10115, Estonia). Every submission automatically includes limited technical data to help diagnose issues: app version, operating system and version, device model, system language, current screen name, and network connection type (e.g. Wi-Fi or Cellular). You may also optionally provide your name and email address. This data is transmitted to Formspark's servers and used solely to respond to your request. See the Formspark Privacy Policy.
When reporting a bug you may optionally attach a screenshot. If you choose to do so, the image is uploaded to Uploadcare (Uploadcare Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #3717, Walnut, CA 91789, USA) before the report is submitted. The uploaded file is stored temporarily. A link to the uploaded file is included in the bug report sent to Formspark and is used solely for diagnostic purposes. See the Uploadcare Privacy Policy.
Both services are used voluntarily and only when you actively submit a form. No data is collected in the background.
